What is Nicolas Cage’s net worth?
Nicolas Cage, an actor from America, has a net worth of $25 million. At one point, his net worth was much higher, easily over $100 million, after earning at least $200 million from his movie salaries alone. Nicolas Cage is known for spending a lot of money, which is somewhat famous today. Even though he was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood, he faced serious money problems because he didn’t pay his taxes and made some bad investments in real estate. This situation forced Cage to sell not only his Ferrari Enzo but also other valuable items. Among these was his copy of Action Comics #1, which is one of the most valuable comic books. He sold it at an auction for a record-breaking $2.16 million. We will discuss his years-long spending spree in more detail later in this article.

Early Life and Family
Nicolas Cage was born in Long Beach, California, to August Coppola, a literature professor, and Joy Vogelsang, a dancer. He grew up in a Catholic household. His dad was Italian, and his mom had German and Polish roots, along with some English and Scottish ancestry from her dad’s side. Cage’s grandparents on his dad’s side were composer Carmine Coppola and actress Italia Pennino.
He’s got some famous relatives too – his uncle is director Francis Ford Coppola, and his aunt is actress Talia Shire. He’s also cousins with directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola, film producer Gian-Carlo Coppola, and actors Robert and Jason Schwartzman. Cage is the youngest of three brothers. His older siblings are Marc “The Cope” Coppola, a radio personality in New York, and Christopher Coppola, who’s a director. He went to Beverly Hills High School, which has a lot of famous alumni. Acting was always Cage’s dream, and he also studied at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
His first taste of acting outside movies was in a school play called “Golden Boy”. Cage’s love for acting sparked after watching James Dean in movies like “Rebel Without a Cause” and “East of Eden”. At just 15, he even begged his uncle Francis Ford Coppola for a screen test, eager to prove himself as an actor. Despite being related to such a big name in Hollywood, Cage changed his last name to Cage, taking inspiration from the Marvel Comics character Luke Cage and composer John Cage, to avoid any appearance of favoritism.
Career
Nicolas Cage started his acting career in 1981, debuting in the TV pilot “The Best of Times.” But it never aired. His first film role came in 1982, with a small part in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” He played a punk in the romantic comedy “Valley Girl” in 1983, which was a small success. Although he missed out on a role in “The Outsiders,” he appeared in “Rumble Fish” the same year. In 1984, he acted in three period films, including “Racing with the Moon,” “The Cotton Club,” and “Birdy,” which got positive reviews. Cage’s big break came in 1987 with “Moonstruck,” earning him critical acclaim and award nominations.
From 1989 to 1994, Cage faced a career slump despite notable performances in films like “Vampire’s Kiss” and “Leaving Las Vegas,” for which he won an Oscar. He then turned to action films with “The Rock,” “Con Air,” and “Face/Off,” which were commercial successes.
In the 2000s, Cage continued with action films but also took on more serious roles. His performance in “Adaptation” earned him another Oscar nomination. He tried his hand at directing with “Sonny” in 2002 but received mixed reviews.
From 2004 to 2011, Cage starred in franchise films like “National Treasure” and “Ghost Rider,” as well as critically acclaimed films like “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.”
In the following years, Cage continued to take on diverse roles in various genres. He received praise for his performances in films like “Joe” and “Mandy.” Cage also ventured into voice acting, notably in “The Croods” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
In recent years, Cage has continued to be prolific in his acting career, starring in films like “Pig” and “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.” He has also ventured into video games, with a cameo appearance in “Dead by Daylight” and reprising his role as Superman in “The Flash.”

Cage has been married five times, including to actresses Patricia Arquette and Lisa Marie Presley, and to Alice Kim, Erika Koike, and Riko Shibata.
His political views and religious beliefs are somewhat private, though he has a Catholic background. He endorsed Andrew Yang for president and once embarked on a quest to find the Holy Grail. Cage is known for his charitable activities, having donated to organizations like Amnesty International and supported causes related to children’s rights and healthcare. He is also deeply interested in comic books and art, having even co-created a comic book with his son.
Despite his success, Cage has faced financial challenges, including real estate and tax problems, leading to lawsuits and tax liens.
